Lineage: Cambodian C S1 ♀ x Original Haze #4 IBL♂F1
Both Cambodian and Original Haze are known for their euphoric, potentially psychedelic effects. Both hail from similar climates, latitudinally, sharing the same day length for the shortest day of the year at 12 hours and 12 minutes, with their longest day differing only 6 minutes. Bringing the two together, we initially envisioned a purple haze.
Without manipulating temperature, the Cambodian mother selected for pollination expressed red and purple calyxes, like its mother, and several other desirable traits, including vigor, trichome production, pronounced aromas, plant structure, flower structure, and yield.
The Original Haze Father selected was our favorite plant in the garden at the time, of nearly a dozen varieties. What we thought to be a late-blooming female turned out to be a beautiful late-maturing male with desirable traits, including vigor, pronounced aromas, plant structure, flower structure, and yield.
Genetic Origins:
Cambodia(Female), Columbia(Male) – Mel Frank proclaims that the Cambodian is a pure F1. Todd McCormick has publicly stated that the Original Haze is a three-way hybrid with 100% Columbian origins.
Creators/Preservationists: Mel Frank(Cambodian S1), Skunkman Sam(Original Haze IBL), Todd McCormick(Original Haze IBL),
Willie Green(Cambodian S1 ♀ x Original Haze IBL♂F1)
The Cambodian was selected and selfed by Mel Frank as the only one of six mothers with red and purple flowers, and the Original Haze, preserved by Skunkman Sam and then reproduced by Todd McCormick, was inbred for decades and recommended as a breeding variety by Skunkman Sam.
We hybridized the Cambodian and Haze varieties in 2020 indoors in San Rafael, California.

Genotype Data:
Cambodian S1 ♀ x Original Haze IBL♂F1s produce three distinct phenotypes with indoor flowering times ranging from 63 to 84 days. Within those three phenotypes are multiple desirable expressions.
The lankiest desirable phenotypes grow to about 4.5’, the squattest desirable phenotypes grow to about 2.5’, and many desirable phenotypes finish between 2.5 and 4.5 when grown on a 12/12 photoperiod.
The least-vigorous plants consistently perform poorly. Moderately vigorous plants may do as well as the most vigorous plants. The most vigorous plants consistently perform well. All phenotypes are type 1.
Three distinct phenotypes consistently present themselves in the F1 generation. On average, 1 in 3 are considered “keeper” phenotypes, defined as those that exhibit every desirable trait for which their parents were selected and bred.
Phenotype #1 is an Original Haze-dominant phenotype expressing lankier morphology and leafier, green, and purple flowers with lower calyx(bract)-to-leaf ratios. It’s earthy, spicy, and subtle aromatically.
Aromas include pine, pepper, peppermint, spearmint, cinnamon, ginger, root beer(sassafras), lemongrass, tobacco, peanut, chocolate, cranberry, grape, blueberry, honeydew melon, watermelon, honey, cane sugar, caramel, garlic, musk, diesel, and gas.
Phenotype #2 is a Cambodian-dominant phenotype expressing lankier morphology, less leafy, green, and purple flowers, and higher calyx(bract)-to-leaf ratios. It’s fruity, tart, and pronounced aromatically.
Aromas include passion fruit, acai berry, pomegranate, fig, plum, black cherry, blackberry, grape, blueberry, orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, sour apple, kiwi, butter, peppermint, ginger, musk, diesel, and gas.
Phenotype #3 is a novel phenotype featuring dominant traits from both parents expressing squatter morphology, leafier, green flowers, and lower calyx(bract)-to-leaf ratios. It’s skunky, acrid, and pronounced aromatically.
Aromas include skunk, cheese, pine, cherry, strawberry, cranberry, blackberry, peach, apple, pear, lemon, mango, peanut, poop, garlic, smoke, musk, burnt rubber, and gas.
Genotype Effects:
Potentially perceptible effects are homogenous across all phenotypes.
Therapeutic effects include cognitive enhancement, thought-provoking, introspection, relaxation, time distortion, thermoregulation, energetic, euphoria, inspirational, motivational, creative, dreamy, altered blood pressure, cerebrally and bodily vibrational, and increased appetite.
Adverse effects(side effects) include cognitive deficit, paranoia, anxiety, panic attacks, tremors, fatigue, time distortion, dysphoria, lethargy, drowsiness, altered blood pressure, coughing, dry mouth, dry eyes, hallucinations, nausea, upset stomach, vomiting, abnormal heart rhythms, headache, dizziness, light-headedness, restlessness, and increased appetite.
